Matthew Ochoa is the founder of Matthew Ochoa Ministries and the lead pastor of Deep Rooted Church in Visalia, California. Driven by a passion to help believers know God’s true nature and walk in the abundant life Jesus purchased for them, Matthew teaches God’s Word with a practical and direct approach shaped by the questions he has wrestled with himself.

After attending Nelson University, Matthew sensed God’s call to start Matthew Ochoa Ministries, which eventually led to founding Deep Rooted Church in 2021. Today, he reaches a growing audience through his books, Sunday teaching, podcast, and social media, with a desire to make biblical teaching accessible to anyone who wants to grow in their relationship with God.

Matthew and his wife, Stephanie, live in Tulare County, California, with their growing family. When he’s not writing or teaching, you’ll probably find him on a soccer field, playing pickleball, or trying to talk Stephanie into joining him.
